Being Spontaneous And Saying Yes More
Are you like me and tend to get in your head way too much and often forgetting to be more spontaneous? Can you remember how great it felt to be spontaneous and say yes when a friend called you to go play outside or go see a movie when you were a kid? Ahh…freedom!
I was on a call with Debbie Lattuga the other day and she gave me a great example and a great reminder that we must make it a point to say yes more. This concept was brought up on The Women of Facebook and a lot of women have embraced this way of life and they only have positive things to say about it!
You can take it one step further and say YES to yourself more!
- Say yes to having an awesome day
- Say yes to a manicure with a friend or by yourself
- Say yes to someone inviting you out
- Say yes to going for a walk
- Say yes to taking an art class
- Say yes to resting and doing nothing for a day…
Tell us what you will say yes to today!

It WAS a great conversation, wasn’t it? It’s amazing the insight people have when in conversation with other highly creative people. For me, saying yes to the things that scare me has been life changing. Thanks for all the great work you are doing, Nathalie. You inspire me.

I think saying yes to the things that scare us the most is the biggest step towards self-growth… Congrats on doing just that Debbie.
Admittedly I used to be a LOT more spontaneous than I am now – these days I’m disgustingly responsible. That said, I am a big believer in creating more memorable moments in life so thanks for the reminder about the value of allowing a little more spontanous fun into our lives!

Hello,
Last time I said “yes” to something I didn’t want to I got stuck on a train for 2 hours because of delay. LOL
I hope you’re laughing withe me. I had to share it; I couldn’t resist.
But seriously after watching the movie “yes man” I realized that in order to live more we gotta say more yeses to things we might be afraid of trying out for the first time.
great share!

Great concept…I am going to challenge myself to only say Yes tomorrow. Of course I already know that means I am going to have to drink an awful lot of tea but hey ho!

I love that yes being spontaneous is really important and we have to remind ourselves to do it!
Great post and video, Nathalie!

Just said “YES” to meeting with somebody I know since childhood. Going to the cinema as in good old times and having a sip of wine will be fun and relaxing
… aaaah … but by the way … wanted to add that it’s sometimes also neccessary to say “no”; when it comes to too much work for example.

You’re the bomb Nathalie.
I am all about spontaneous fun – it’s getting out of our comforts zones when we feel safe and secure.
I know you read my post “Living Life Out Loud and Slowing Down” about me taking a flight to Chicago when my son Kevin called me – saying YES is what I did. I got a chance to take a flight that he was first officer on the plane and now guess what, he got moved to Dallas and he doesn’t fly here anymore.
So yes, I am happy that I was spontaneous in my decision to say why not. By the way, I took the last seat on that flight to Chicago.
Saying YES to life,

Hi Nathalie, What a wonderful concept of saying “Yes” I thought about this for a while and realized that I’m saying No too much because of my work load. Thank you for the inspiration. I will say “Yes” and incorporate it to my daily growth.
Blessings to you

Yes, Yes, Yes!!
You got it Nathalie it’s about giving yourself permission to do and say and experience life with an OPEN HEART.
It reminds me of that Jim Carrey movie, “Yes Man.” Quite a funny representation but nonetheless a thoughtful look at how beautiful life can be when we shift our mindset, and just…
Be open to the possibilities that are being gifted to you without letting your “inner critic” suck the life out of what could be a life changing experience.

That’s the stuff Holly! Yes me too sometimes it seems like words come out of my mind before I can even think! I used to think it was bad but now I realize it is exactly what we are better to do! How pleasantly surprising that is
In these busy days that we all seem to be having and chasing our goals, being spontaneous and saying yes is really one of the best things we can do. We must never forget our friends.

This goddess is going to say YES to a whole lot more things this year …
Yes to the urgings of my Inner Voice;
Yes to the pull to my sewing table rather than my laptop;
Yes to hot yoga, and conscious eating and daily quietude.
Here’s to a year of YES!

Aloha Nathalie!
I love it! Yes! It’s such a great concept and automatically makes us feel happy. And if we feel happy, we will attract everything we want into our lives.
Much aloha,
